Just a quick thank-you to you all and congratulations LNTG on 100,000 Soundcloud plays of the 'Bless the Rains'  Epic Journey edit.
It's safe to say that this work has been warmly received by many of you and this track has such a timeless feel that still resonates to this day.
Who knows, maybe there are many more plays of this yet to come.
Thanks again and especially from LNTG.

Tu estas en mi Systema

The latest LNTG re-work 'Systema' is originally by American duo 'The System' from their 1983 album 'Sweat.'
This is an 80's Tuff Guy favourite and the not often heard Spanish translated version of 'You are in my System.'
The funk is so palpable you just have to turn it up!

Family LNTG re-work

In 1971 Sly and the Family Stone had a number #1 with their track 'Family Affair' and it was later to be ranked #138 in Rolling Stone magazines 500 greatest songs of all time.
LNTG like many of us have always loved this tune and he is on the record as saying he wanted to make a more dance-floor version to play 'live' in his sets.
'Family' is the Tuff Guys latest re-work and we're lovin having Sly back on the Hi-Fi.

I Can Feel It

After taking a few years break from Genesis in 1981 Phil Collins made his landmark solo album 'Face Value' which included the hit 'In The Air Tonight.' It was an international smash and played on radio around the world and even to this day.
A few others have had a go at this track and now it's the Tuff Guy's turn.
With 'I Can Feel It' LNTG takes it head on and well, you can judge the results.

ITM Honour Roll

LNTG has been building a strong reputation and interest from overseas but it could be said that the Australian press has been a little slow in catching up. That's all starting to change for the better as the OZ EDM online bible 'In The Mix' has added him as part of their Honour Roll series. Some of the international names already included are Richie Hawtin, DJ Harvey and Jeff Mills as well as other Aus names like Simon Caldwell, Dave Pham and Mike Callander.
The Tuff Guy is not one to search out the spotlight so this is a good insight into the man behind the muscle.
Expect more press soon as the requests for interviews seems to be rapidly increasing and we are encouraging him to talk even more about how he was to become...Late Nite Tuff Guy.

★ LNTG's New Website

Like expectant parents we have been waiting patiently, not quite 9 months, but it's finally arrived, Late Nite Tuff Guy's new website.
We would like you all to be God Parents because it's been designed with you in mind.
To celebrate the launch of www.lntg.co he has produced a new DJ mix that is available for DL on the site. Like all LNTG mixes this was recorded 'Live.'
From time to time the site will also feature new and unavailable tracks from the Tuff Guy that you will be able to download so we hope you come back and visit.
"You gotta come over and see the baby." [Link below]

Bless the Rains

When a song has nearly 13 million hits on Youtube you can be guaranteed it's a bit of a monster.
We're going on safari with LNTG as he takes on this Toto classic from their 1982 album 'Toto IV.'
The initial idea for the song came from David Paich and the late great drummer for the band and co-song writer Jeff Porcaro explains the inspiration behind the original"... a white boy is trying to write a song on Africa, but since he's never been there, he can only tell what he's seen on TV or remembers in the past."
This one has been on LNTG's list for a while but given that Aiidemi Popusi from Croatia suggested it as part of our Late Nite Tuff Guy 'Requests' series it's only fair that we give him props for his choice, thanks Aiidemi.

Pray Like Aretha

In 1985 British band Scritti Politti released their most successful album 'Cupid and Psyche.' It had several hit singles and broke them into the US market.
LNTG had taken on arguably their biggest tune with his latest edit 'Pray Like Aretha Franklin.'
For those who remember the already slick and sophisticated pop lush-ness of the original it's great to hear it back again with the Tuff Guy treatment.
Time to brush up on some of those 80's dance moves.

LNTG's Soundcloud hit over 7,000 followers today! This and the fact there have been over 400,000 plays is just incredible.
Support from you, the DJ's and the many blogs and radio stations around the world has just been amazing so thank you all so much.
Traditionally when LNTG hits a milestone like this he likes to give something to you to celebrate in the form of a DL.
Will this time be any different? We think not.
The Tuff Guy is back in the studio now so stand by for something new soon...

Nitetrain

All aboard as LNTG gets on the Nite Train, a step away from his usual excursions but a journey worth taking.
This time Steve Winwood gets the Tuff Guy treatment on this track from his 1980 album 'Arc of a Diver' which incidentally Steve played every instrument on.
Winwood is an amazing talent in his own right but he also played with Hendrix back in the day, not bad thing to have on your CV.
Tickets please!

Don't Wanna Let U Go

Late Nite Tuff Guy has gone back to Motown for his latest edit interpretation 'Don't Wanna Let U Go.'
This one is a personal LNTG all time favourite J-5 tune and he has said that it bought out a lot of emotions during its production.
Something for the Slo-Mo crew.

Nobody

This is the latest edit from LNTG of Rufus and the beautiful and amazingly talented Chaka Khan entitled 'Nobody.'
Probably a track that is in most DJ's top 5 dance-floor killers, it started with LNTG wanting to create a mixable version and ended up like this.
Once again he was concerned about taking on such a classic and wanted to do it justice or it might have never seen the light of day.
We're so glad it's here.

Dicky Trisco in Ibiza

As you're walking the beach in Ibiza can you hear the sounds of LNTG dancing on the breeze? It can only be Dicky Trisco [Disco Deviance head honcho] as his summer odyssey is in full swing. He has been living in a villa that can only be described as fit for a disco version of Freddy Mercury. If the whole scene is hard for you to imagine he has provided a mix that should transport you straight there.
Dicky has been giving LNTG some serious play-time beach side and love him for it.
We hope to be with him for the next Ibiza Summer but in the meantime pull up a hammock, here's your cocktail now press play!

LNTG gets Controversial

'Do I Believe In God' is the latest edit from LNTG as he pays homage to Prince and the title track 'Controversy' from his 1981 album.
LNTG is on the record as saying that he didn't want to mess to much with the original as it is a masterpiece, but we think he has given it some respectful Tuff Guy muscle.
Hope you enjoy.

Juicy are brother and sister Jerry and Katreese Barnes, who released a few singles and two albums between 1982 and 1987. This was their biggest hit from 1985 and was produced by Eumir Deodato. It's already a very sweet track that has been given some Tuff Luv.
Enjoy, it's low cal!

The Dublin Aunts recently released their Heartbreak Reputation tune which is fantastic.
It also has some great edits from The Drop Out Orchestra, Flash Mode and our OZ buddy DJ Agent 86. When LNTG heard it he really wanted to give it his rub.

Shhh!

Please don't tell LNTG about this Prince after party in Melbourne. He was meant to be at this show and party but couldn't make it. Well over a 1,000 turned up to Hi Fi Bar which couldn't accommodate all.
His Purpleness did several of these after parties in Australia as part of his tour and all reports say that they were amazing.
The current Prince concert tour is really something to be seen and if it's coming your way please don't hesitate to be there, it's incredible. Every show he does is different so it could end up being expensive for you if you're a massive fan.
In the meantime shhh!
